Masterpieces of Craft and Vision
Founded in 2008 by Frédéric Winkler and Philippe Cazer, DCW éditions was born from a clear idea: to curate and reintroduce objects that are rooted in the past, designed for the present, and visionary in spirit.
The first release – the now-iconic La Lampe Gras – was originally conceived in 1921 by industrial designer Bernard-Albin Gras and famously championed by Le Corbusier. With its spherical joint and articulated arms, it became a symbol of utilitarian elegance. Today, La Lampe Gras is available in a wide range of configurations – from wall-mounted to table, pendant, XL and even outdoor versions.
In 2013, DCW éditions relaunched the Mantis lamp by Bernard Schottlander – a poetic, kinetic piece first created in 1951 as a homage to Alexander Calder. The re-edition arrived just as the design world reembraced the sleek optimism of the 1950s.
Lighting That Is Sustainable, Sculptural, and Emotionally Resonant
DCW éditions has a unique instinct for designs that speak across generations. In our own projects, we frequently turn to their lighting for its refined expressiveness and enduring quality.
Among our highlights:
Here Comes the Sun – a 1970 re-edition by Bertrand Balas with a soft, glowing aura that adds atmosphere and intimacy
La Lampe B by Thierry Dreyfus – sculptural by day, meditative by night, with a candle-like glow
The Lota Tau Pi series by Clément Cauvet – architectural in form and inspired by Greek lettering, loved for its minimal, graphic presence
Every DCW éditions piece is a celebration of precision, authenticity, and imagination – designed to last, and to be lived with.
