Signature Style: Effortless Elegance with a Distinctive Ease
Minotti represents a uniquely Italian design philosophy – one that blends elegance with functionality and a sense of relaxed sophistication. From the very beginning, the company has remained in the hands of the Minotti family, preserving a continuity of vision that defines its identity to this day.

From Artisan Workshop to Global Design Brand
In the post-war years, northern Italy became home to countless artisan workshops – many of which evolved into internationally renowned furniture brands. Among them was Minotti, founded in 1948 by Alberto Minotti, who transformed the company into an industrial-scale operation by the 1960s.
The next major leap came in the 1990s, when Renato and Roberto Minotti introduced the brand to the international stage. A pivotal moment arrived in 1998 with the appointment of acclaimed architect Rodolfo Dordoni as creative director – a role he fulfilled with remarkable consistency and vision until his death in 2023.
The Minotti DNA: Pure Aesthetics, Timeless Form, Subtle Complexity
Together with Minotti Studio, Dordoni cultivated the brand’s unmistakable design DNA – a blend of minimalist aesthetics, timeless proportions, and intricate detailing. Central to this vision is the Made in Italy ethos: a synthesis of advanced technology and artisanal tradition, realised through a tightly woven network of local craftspeople.
The result is a series of collections that radiate understated luxury – elegant on the surface, yet rich in craftsmanship and depth upon closer inspection.

A Living Vision: Global Design Perspective, Locally Crafted Excellence
Between 1998 and 2020, the third generation of the Minotti family joined the company. Alessio, Alessandro, Susanna and Leonardo Minotti each brought complementary strengths to the brand’s evolution – continuing to shape its global presence while remaining grounded in its roots.
In 2018, the design collective expanded to include international figures such as Christophe Delcourt, GamFratesi, Nendo, Marcio Kogan / Studio MK27, and Inoda+Sveje – all working in creative harmony under Dordoni’s leadership.
The latest chapter in Minotti’s history began in 2024, with acclaimed designers Hannes Peer and Giampiero Tagliaferri contributing significantly to the new collection, alongside returning collaborators Nendo, Marcio Kogan, and GamFratesi.
