Henge: Transforming the Ordinary into the Extraordinary
What sets this young company near Treviso apart is its unwavering passion for traditional craftsmanship. Determined to preserve endangered artisanal skills, founder Paolo Tormena actively supports local workshops – even acquiring some to keep them alive.
Every production step remains local: from metalworking and stone shaping to expert surface finishing – all performed in small ateliers, often in the most remote corners of Italy. The final assembly of tables, lighting, shelving and cabinetry takes place at the brand’s headquarters in Follina.
The result? Objects that are both singular and enduring, each one an unrepeatable work of craftsmanship.

A Specialist in Surface Sophistication
One of Henge’s defining features is its exceptional finishes, particularly in metal, stone, and wood. Always searching for the extraordinary, Paolo Tormena travels the globe in pursuit of rare materials. When he discovers a unique stone – sometimes from a source destined to be depleted – he acquires the entire remaining stock for Henge.
This results in limited-edition materials that appear briefly in the brand’s portfolio before quietly disappearing again, adding a layer of rarity and exclusivity to each design.

Art or Object? Henge is Both
Suspended lights that hover like celestial bodies, wall fixtures that double as art installations, or kitchen islands sculpted like monoliths – Henge designs challenge conventional design codes.
With daring lines, refined materiality and bold elegance, Henge merges artistic expression with functional precision. It’s a combination that speaks directly to our own design philosophy and fits seamlessly into our most ambitious interior projects.

Objects with a Sense of Permanence
Isabella Genovese – both Paolo Tormena’s partner in life and in business – leads the creative department and serves as guardian of Henge’s stylistic identity. Her vision is to unite creativity, functionality, and timelessness in each piece – creating designs that outlast trends and defy easy categorisation.
The brand’s signature sensibility is shaped not only by her eye for detail, but also by the influence of long-time artistic director and architect Massimo Castagna, along with internationally acclaimed designers such as the Canadian duo Yabu Pushelberg.
