At Molteni, luxury lives in the detail – in the joinery of fine woods, the tactile contrast of materials, and the harmony of forms. A palette of glass, oak, walnut and marble in soft sand and smoky grey tones is accented by bold singular pieces: perhaps a 1950s-inspired sideboard in mixed woods, a sculptural coffee table, or a lounge chair upholstered in a luminous fabric.

Belgian architect Vincent Van Duysen, Molteni’s Creative Director, describes his aesthetic as simple, elemental and calm – yet sensual. This refined balance makes him the ideal interpreter of the Molteni world: one of understated elegance, tactile richness, and modern nostalgia. The consistently packed Molteni exhibition stands at international design fairs prove how perfectly this sensibility resonates with today’s audience.

At Egetemeier Munich, we have worked with Molteni for many years – designing bespoke interiors, walk-in wardrobes, multimedia units, bookcases, and custom furniture from our in-house interior architecture studio.

We are particularly captivated by the Molteni Heritage Collection – a celebration of reissued masterpieces from designers such as Ignazio Gardella, Werner Glaser, Tobia Scarpa, Yasuhiko Itoh and the legendary Gio Ponti. Each re-edition is crafted with the utmost fidelity, complete with certificate of authenticity and a unique serial number.

A notable 2024 addition is the “D.157.6” Due Foglie sofa, originally created by Gio Ponti in 1954 for Villa Planchart in Caracas. Its silhouette – reminiscent of a pod with two elongated leaves – gives the piece its poetic name, “Due Foglie”. One of our enduring bestsellers is Ponti’s timeless classic, the “D.153.1” armchair – a design that exemplifies the sophistication of Italian mid-century modernism.
