Our Vision
Conviction. Not trends. We don’t see interior culture as a service, but as a dialogue – bold in stance, sensitive to your unfiltered vision.
We don’t just create interiors – we shape spatial manifestos.

PHILOSOPHY
We believe in furniture with a biography – not trends with an expiry date.
True aesthetics start with respect: for the material and the maker.
Where does the wood come from? Who forged the metal? These aren’t philosophical questions – they’re an honour code of craftsmanship. Our designs are built for long-term relationships. Clean lines meet circular thinking.
Every project follows a threefold principle:
Durability through precision craftsmanship,
Simplicity through material intelligence,
Aesthetics shaped with a generational mindset.

Meet the team
At Egetemeier, no single voice shapes a space. We are a collective of visionaries who read materials like composers read music.
Architects who treat proportion like poetry. Interior designers who don’t choose surfaces – they decode them. And craftsmen for whom precision isn’t a step, but a state of mind.

HERITAGE
Egetemeier Wohnkultur | Proudly rooted in Munich since 1955
For three generations, we’ve helped shape Munich’s interior landscape – not as preservers of the past, but as translators of timeless design into a contemporary language.
Our showroom on Nymphenburger Straße isn’t a warehouse – it’s a curated universe: 800 square metres where Italian design icons meet Japanese woodwork, where floating light sculptures encounter handcrafted ceramic narratives.
Every detail is an invitation to rethink materiality – from monolithic leather sofas to textiles that break light into pure colour.
Our approach is radically dialogical. Slow Design means rejecting disposable aesthetics in favour of lasting beauty. Globally Curated means combining Milanese leather mastery with forgotten artisans in Kyoto. We don’t stage rooms – we compose tactile portraits of your life. The reason a family business founded in 1955 feels more relevant than ever?
Because our DNA is built on principles:Craft as an antidote to fast furniture. Investment pieces over passing trends. And a fusion of analogue know-how with digital tools like 3D scans and holographic planning.
Two addresses, one shared ethos:
The Egetemeier Showroom – a lab for purists.
The Minotti Store – a stage for Italian design legacy.
Both driven by the same belief:
Interior culture isn’t a destination – it’s a dialogue that shapes both space and spirit.

EGETEMEIER MULTI-PURPOSE LOUNGER – A DESIGN ICON WITH CULT STATUS
In 1956, Josef Egetemeier made Munich design history with the Vielzweck-Liege – a multi-purpose lounger that turned functionality into an art form. First presented as a protected prototype at the “Einrichten + Wohnen” furniture fair, the piece became a sensation: Over 5,000 units were sold by the mid-1960s. Some are still in use today; one is housed in the Munich City Museum as a postwar design artefact. Built from solid beechwood, featuring minimalist mechanics and a clean formal language, the lounger was a slow-design pioneer – long before sustainability became a trend.
